Instructions on the Secure Ram SafeLogic Basic Digital Lock

Hi there. Today I’m going to show you how the Secure Ram SafeLogic Basic digital lock works and how to program your own code.

Features

The SafeLogic Basic is a two-user lock: a manager code and a user code. That means two people can be programmed to access the safe instead of just one.

  • A six-digit combination
  • Two users (manager + user)
  • A lockout penalty: four incorrect entries trigger a five-minute lockout, protecting against tampering
  • Battery warning: eight beeps let you know when the battery is getting low

Battery & Memory

The battery compartment is conveniently located behind the keypad on the outside of the safe. Even if the battery dies while you’re away, the lock’s non-volatile memory chip inside the door retains your programmed codes for up to three years with no power. Simply replace the battery, and your combination still works.

Factory Code

Every new Secure Ram lock comes preset with the factory code 1-2-3-4-5-6. Use this code to open the safe the first time.

Programming a New Code

Always program a new code with the door open and the bolts in the simulated closed position.

  1. Enter programming mode: press 0 six times. Two beeps confirm you’re in programming mode. (If you hear three beeps, start over.)
  2. Enter the current code (factory code 123456). Two beeps confirm acceptance.
  3. Enter your new six-digit code twice. For example: 654321 → beep, then 654321 → beep.
  4. Two beeps confirm the new code is stored.

Testing the Code

Before closing the safe, test your new code at least three times:

  • Enter 654321, confirm the bolts retract.
  • Simulate closing, then test again.
  • Repeat one more time.

If it works each time, you can close and lock the safe with confidence.

Conclusion

The Secure Ram SafeLogic Basic is:

  • UL Type 1 certified
  • Easy to program
  • Equipped with two user codes
  • Protected with non-volatile memory (saves your code even with no power)
  • Designed with a lockout penalty for security
