Hi there. Today I’ll explain how to set your combination.
Step 1: Open the Safe with Your Current Code
- Start with the door closed and locked.
- Turn the knob left (counterclockwise) to clear out any previously pressed buttons.
- Enter your current combination (either the factory code or your existing code).
- Turn the knob right (clockwise) to unlock and open the door.
Step 2: Prepare to Set a New Code
- With the door open, turn the knob left (counterclockwise) to re-lock the mechanism (door remains open).
- Enter your current code again, but do not turn the knob.
- Locate the small tab on the bottom of the lock (inside the door).
- Push the tab upward and press it into place until you hear a click. This clears out the old combination.
Step 3: Set Your New Code
- Go back to the outside keypad.
- Turn the knob left (counterclockwise) to reset.
- Enter your new code (example: 1-2-3-4-5) by pressing the buttons in sequence.
- Turn the knob right (clockwise) to lock in the new code.
- Turn the knob back left (counterclockwise) to reset.
Step 4: Test the New Code
- Enter your new code and turn the knob right (clockwise) to confirm it unlocks.
- Repeat the process several times to ensure it works consistently.
- Close and lock the door, then test the code again to verify it’s fully functional.
Pro Tip: Practice Your New Code
- Enter the new code several times on the first day to build muscle memory.
- Try it again the next day, and repeat regularly during the first week.
- The goal is to make the sequence second nature so you can access your safe quickly in an emergency.
