How to Remove Shipping Bands from Your Safe

Hi there. Today, I’ll show you how easy it is to remove the bands from your safe once it is delivered.

Step 1: Safety First

• If you have safety glasses, put them on before starting.

Step 2: Removing Plastic Bands

• Many safes arrive secured with plastic bands.
• Use a sharp knife to carefully cut through them and remove the safe from the pallet.

Step 3: Removing Metal Bands

• Some safes are shipped with metal bands, which a knife will not cut.
• If you have metal snippers, use them.
• If not, a claw hammer works as well:

1. Position the claw of the hammer as close as possible to the metal band.
2. Get a snug grip on the band.
3. Twist until the band breaks free.

That’s it — your safe is now unbanded and ready for setup.
